Professor Emma Watson welcomed everyone to event with her opening remarks; this was followed by an update from the NES team on SOAR, Appraiser training activities and forthcoming organisational changes.

As announced through Scottish Parliament on 17th June, NSS and NES will be combined to form a new organisation as part of the service renewal framework. The new organisation has a tentative working name of NHS Delivery.
Despite this organisational change though, the work the Medical Appraisal team does will get carried into the new organisation so from a service provision perspective - nothing will change.
