Revalidation Advisory Board for Scotland (RABS)


RABS was convened by the Scottish Government to provide oversight and policy advice for medical appraisal and revalidation in Scotland.

Chaired by the Scottish Government, membership of the group includes representatives from NES, BMA Scotland, Responsible Officers, Medical Directors, Appraisal Leads, Medical Royal Colleges, Independent hospitals, General Medical Council, Patient/Lay representative and NSS (NHS National Services Scotland).

The remit and focus of the group is to set policy and guidance to ensure all doctors working in Scotland have a pathway to appraisal and revalidation.
