Working as a GP with an Additional Clinical Post

Working as a GP with an Additional Clinical Post

Overview

There are many different types of external clinical posts undertaken by GPs who have a practice-based main role. It is clearly not possible to construct a template for every role. However, the basic principles applying to appraisal for all clinical work can be applied to these posts, and this module aims to provide a template for reflection on the achievements and challenges that you face.

It may be possible for you to provide "mainstream" QIA supporting information - such as an audit report. If so, this is clearly a useful route to consider.

If, however, there are circumstances which prevent you from a standard clinical approach, this module offers an alternative for reflective practice, aiming to facilitate quality improvement activity.
